Commercial flake salt is made only by boiling seawater which is an incredibly energy intensive process. We've tried a number of different methods of growing our own flake salt in a more energy friendly way, and have had some success! For now, our Flake Sea Salt is only available at our retail store in Friday Harbor. And even then it is only available intermittently.
